mobile photography

I take a lot of photos with my mobile phone, it’s convenient and super fast to take a quick snap. All the above photos are taken with my Huawei P9 which is honestly the best phone I have ever had to take photos with. The dual camera by Leica is great and I find the Wide Aperture Effect is great to have turned on. You get a great depth of field and it makes portraits look really special. One thing I find a bit annoying is that sometimes the effect can look a bit fake, so it’s great to be able to reduce or increase the aperture once the photo has been taken. The third photo is a great example of using the Wide Aperture Feature with my P9.

On day three or four of our week long trip around Italy we stopped to rest a night in this camping ground, located in Castelnuovo di Garfagnana, Toscana. We arrived an hour and a half before sunset, which meant that the lighting was soft and easy to shoot in.

A quick weekend trip to London last month was the first time, in 17 months that I was in an English speaking country. It was nice to read signs, listen in to people’s conversations and have a chat with the person in the shop. See more photographs from my weekend in London on my Flickr. Thanks London!

Instead of coming home from work, eating dinner and watching a TV show, I decided to take a walk and visit Kongens Have, almost across the road (well kinda) from the Botanical Gardens. Kongens Have (The King’s Garden) is a beautiful, big and green park almost at my doorstep. The park is the oldest and most visited park in central Copenhagen, but with modern twists like the veggie patch. A beautiful oasis within Copenhagen. See my flickr for more photographs.

A few weeks ago we visited Stockholm – what a cool city! My favorite place to visit was Rosendals Trädgård.  A beautiful garden bursting with flowers, spring colours, greenhouses. If you would like to see more photographs of Sweden, take a look at my trip to Skane County last year. As always, there are more photos on my flickr!

With Spring officially sprung, it’s time to venture out. I recently was given a Canon EOS 5D Mark II from my husband, so it gave me more reason to venture out. Above are some photographs I took on a sunny sunday afternoon while we made our way to visit Frederiksberg Have.

Over the Easter break we also went to visit Sweden, Stockholm – some new photos comin’ up!

To get the apartment semi-ready for Christmas my Husband and I decided to make Paper Snowflakes for our front windows using this tutorial. It was really simple and therapeutic while listening to some Christmas carols.  Enjoy and God Jul to you!

Over the weekend my husband and I visited Amsterdam. It was my first time visiting and I hope it won’t be my last! I just enjoyed being away from ‘home’ and stumbling upon art in the canals, cute shops and walking through the flower market. Go to my Flickr if you want to see more photographs from my trip!
